Tonya Witherspoon is the Associate Vice President for Applied Learning and Industry Engagement at Wichita State University. Tonya has spent the last twenty years in technology, innovation, and education. She has founded several companies and has served as chief strategy officer, chief marketing officer, and chief operations officer for technology companies building hardware and software for enterprise customers. Tonya is a published author, invited speaker, and enjoys networking and connecting people and ideas. Most recently, Tonya has spent the past year serving as the Executive Director of the Wichita State University Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory helping to expand Wichita’s COVID-19 testing capacity.
