Management and Program Analyst on the Performance, Research, and National Technical Assistance Division (PRNTAD), U.S. Economic Development Administration

Ilana Valinsky is a Management and Program Analyst on the Performance, Research, and National Technical Assistance Division (PRNTAD) at the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). Her portfolio consists of managing research awards and general programmatic support. Prior to joining PRNTAD, Ilana served as a Management and Program Analyst for the Economic Development Integration team at EDA which aims to improve interagency collaboration and facilitate the strategic and effective investment of federal economic development resources.

Before joining the federal government, Ilana served in both the private and nonprofit sectors. As the Director of Client Services and Associate Consultant at Bloom Planning, Ilana headed the early childhood education portfolio, leading market feasibility studies and building strategic plans in pursuit of economic development and sustainability. She has also worked as the Director of Individual Giving for Teach For America-Greater Philadelphia (TFA) and co-facilitated the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness series for TFA alumni, led the Greater Philadelphia team as the head of the internal staff Culture Committee, and built and implemented a six-part Leading as a Woman professional development series. Ilana has also served as the Philanthropic Advancement Specialist for Foundation For The Carolinas, designing grantmaking programs for corporate, foundation, and nonprofit partners.

She has a B.A. in English from Davidson College and her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and currently resides in Bethesda, MD.
