Brian Darmody serves as Chief Strategy Office for AURP, a global nonprofit building communities of innovation in 42 states sponsored by universities, hospitals, government labs and cities.

Previously, he was the University of Maryland’s AVP for Corporate and Foundation Relations, AVP for Research and Economic Development, Director of State and Federal Relations and in the university’s legal counsel office. He worked for the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration Office of Attorney Advisor and for a member of Congress.

He serves on national boards, including Fraunhofer USA, and the Maryland TEDCO. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore, and bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
