Annual Summit 2010 - Higher education institutions as catalysts for economic transformation

Mark your calendars and plan to attend UEDA's 2010 Summit. At the Summit, you’ll learn about best practices in university-based economic development and network with colleagues from around the country. You’ll learn tips and techniques from others who work on similar economic development projects as you. In addition, UEDA members will compete for Awards of Excellence in seven categories at the Summit. Make plans to attend the Summit on November 7-9, 2010 in Reno, Nevada.

Showcase of States

Show off your state’s economic development successes!
Learn about products and services from throughout the United States!

The Showcase of States is going to be a special display area at Summit 2010 where pre-registered Summit attendees may exhibit economic development efforts including products, demonstrations, and visuals that convey University efforts in:

  • Product development
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Business assistance
  • Innovation
  • Re-invigoration of market through re-purposing or re-innovation
  • Partnerships between SBDC’s and Universities.

Institutions are eligible on a first-come basis and must pre-register with Leslie Pachol and submit one paragraph (about 100 words) describing how each project meets the institution or community economic objectives or addresses the priorities of the EDA. The paragraph must indicate the contact person for each project. An eight foot table exhibit space will be provided and institutions are responsible for shipping and set up of their displays.  Contact Camilla Bustamante for more information.
