Economic Development Organizations

UEDA Economic Development Organization Members

Economic development organizations often serve as intermediaries among higher education, the private sector and government. In light of this growing role, economic developers are facing new demands such as applying specialized financing tools, defining new performance metrics, accelerating university spinouts and engaging in place-based strategies required to attract and retain younger professional talent.

UEDA works to feature communities that excel at leveraging town-gown partnerships, highlighting the technical resources and approaches that help make them happen. This recognition attracts national attention and can lead to greater business investment, market sustainability and higher real estate values.
